1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using Nouri, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Nouri is a personal nutrition tracking app that uses AI to analyse meals, estimate nutritional content, and provide food recommendations. The app is intended for general wellness and informational purposes only.

3. Not Medical Advice

Nouri is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. All nutritional information, scores, and recommendations generated by Nouri are AI-generated estimates based on general food data. They are:

Approximations only — not clinically validated or verified
Not a substitute for professional nutritional or medical advice
Not appropriate for use in managing medical conditions, eating disorders, allergies in clinical contexts, or any health condition requiring professional oversight

If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have specific dietary medical needs, consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary changes based on this app.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nouri. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

5. Licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Nouri on your personal mobile device (iOS or Android) for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not: copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content; reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code; use the app for any commercial purpose without our written permission; or use the app in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.

6. AI-Generated Content

Nouri uses third-party AI services — Google Gemini to analyse food descriptions and images, and OpenAI Whisper to transcribe voice recordings into text. You acknowledge that AI outputs are probabilistic estimates, not guaranteed facts; nutritional values may vary from actual food content; Nouri is not responsible for inaccuracies in AI-generated nutritional data; and you should not rely solely on AI-generated content for health-critical decisions.

7. User-Provided Content

When you describe a meal, submit a food photo, or record a voice description for analysis, you confirm that you have the right to submit that content, that it does not violate any third-party rights, and that you are not submitting content containing personal information about other people without their consent.

8. Third-Party Services

Nouri integrates with third-party AI services for meal analysis and voice transcription. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms:

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.

9. Availability and Updates

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Nouri is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of nutritional information, uninterrupted or error-free operation, and compatibility with all devices.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nouri Ventures Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) Nouri, including but not limited to reliance on inaccurate nutritional estimates, loss of data stored on your device, or any health outcomes resulting from dietary choices informed by the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Nouri shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via an in-app notice on next launch. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
