NouriPrivacy Policy
1. Who we are
Nouri is a nutrition app by Nouri Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. This policy explains how we handle your information. Contact: info@get-nouri.com.
2. What stays on your device
Your goals, dietary preferences, meal logs, and settings are stored on your device only. We do not keep a copy on any server. You can delete everything at any time via "Clear all data" in the Profile screen, or by uninstalling the app.
3. What we send for AI features
To analyse your meals and generate recommendations, Nouri sends the relevant content to third-party AI providers:
- Google Gemini — analyses your meal descriptions and food photos.
- OpenAI — transcribes your voice recordings into text (only if you log a meal by voice).
For recommendations and daily feedback, we also send your dietary preferences (your goal, any allergies, and food likes/dislikes) and the names of the meals you have logged. We do not send your name, age, weight, height, or anything that directly identifies you.
These calls pass through our own secure relay at api.get-nouri.com, which forwards them to the providers but does not store your content; it briefly uses your connection's IP address only to prevent abuse (rate-limiting). Once received by the providers, the data is handled under their own policies (Google, OpenAI).
4. Camera, photos and microphone
If you log a meal by photo, we ask for camera or photo-library access to capture the food image. If you log by voice, we ask for microphone access to record your description. Images and audio are used only for that analysis and are not stored by us. You can decline these and log meals as text instead.
5. Not medical advice
Nouri is a general wellness tool, not a medical device. Its figures are AI-generated estimates and should not be relied upon for medical decisions. Nouri does not connect to Apple Health or any other health platform.
6. Children
Nouri is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
7. Your rights (UK GDPR)
Because your data lives on your device, you can view it in the app at any time and delete it via "Clear all data" or by uninstalling. For any privacy question, contact info@get-nouri.com.
8. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above.
